A woman from Brandon has admitted taking and distributing indecent photographs of children as well as arranging the commission of a child sex offence.

A court has heard that Claire Kelly, of Yew Drive in Brandon, was taken to hospital in August last year following a suicide attempt and disclosed she had sent naked pictures of a child to a man she met via the internet.

Her phone was seized by police and it was discovered that indecent photographs of the child had been sent and evidence of discussions, between herself and a man called ‘Craig’, were found about involving the child in a sexual act.

She said ‘Craig’ had promised her ‘a better future’ with a job as a PA at his firm and that he had tried to persuade her to act in a sexual way and involve the child.

Kelly admitted charges of Distributing indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child, arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sex offence and and taking indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child.

She was released on unconditional bail and will be sentenced in Ipswich Crown Court at a later date.
