Crews from Brandon fire station have been called out to another campfire in the forest this evening.

Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service were called at 9.23pm today, Tuesday 11th August, to fire route 5 opposite Hillside in the town.

On arrival they found an abandoned campfire and crews used the water backpack along with buckets of water to extinguish the blaze.

This call is the third campfire Brandon have responded to this month and adds to other similar call outs in July.

On Tuesday 4th August they responded to an abandoned campfire between Brandon and Santon Downham and on Wednesday 5th August they responded to a campfire with a group still in attendance.
