Police respond to reports of stabbing in market town

Police were called to a property in Brandon in the early hours of yesterday morning to reports a woman had been stabbed.

Officers responded at 2.52am on Wednesday 16th September to a property on Crown Street to the west of the town.

The victim was taken to West Suffolk Hospital by ambulance with minor injuries and has since been released.

Enquiries are ongoing but police are treating this as an isolated incident with no wider risk to community.

It is believed the victim and offender were known to each other and no arrests have been made at this stage.
